The Christmas season is a warm memory of times spent with our family. For the most part, I tried to heed the words of my 12/13 blog post about not getting overwhelmed by all the holiday hustle and bustle–always a challenge for me. I still have the tendency to bite off much more than I can handle. I’m learning with each new season that being present in the moment is what really matters!

I hope you enjoyed reading the 12 Pearls of Christmas guest blogs as much as I did. I loved starting each day during the week before Christmas with a great story and fresh and interesting insights. What a gift!

Thanks to each of you who followed the 12 Pearls series and took time to comment. Your names were entered (along with about 1,000 others!) to win the Pearl Girls lovely three-strand pearl necklace. The winner is Carol of Carol’s Notebook. Congratulations, Carol!

You still have an opportunity to be a winner. All you need to do is leave a comment on The Pearl Girls’ Blog. They’re giving away 5 copies of the Pearl Girls book. Be sure to stop by before 1/8/2010.

Wow! I still can’t get used to writing/saying 2010. A new year begins. I look forward to visiting with you during these next weeks and months. I’d love to hear what your thoughts are as you look toward this new beginning. Notice, I didn’t say “resolution!” Those are always short-lived for me. 🙂

But on to the next adventure on day two of 2010. Looks like taking down Christmas decorations and some cleaning up around the house are at the top of today’s list.

May the Lord bless you and all your New Year’s hopes and dreams.
